How To Live A Happy Life?
A beautifully sculpted lady of polished white jade stands in an intricately carved frosted black obsidian mass of skulls and bones. She is in conversation with the phantasmal spirits that rise from the base to writhe about her, carved from Indian agate with areas of green, yellow, and orange. The black obsidian and white jade inspire a greater appreciation of these more subtle hues, while the translucent agate enhances the ethereal aspect of the entities.
The lady's expression is confident, content, serene. She is fully immersed as she welcomes the experiences of her humanity, even as the world storms around her. She is in control. She shows no denial of her reality as she experiences it. Rather, she embraces all and emanates joy and love toward all she encounters.
We're caught in an inescapable reality. We know how it works, with many challenges but also many wondrous adventures. How do we choose to respond to such a wide array of experiences when they call our name? Do we respond with love and kindness; with hatred and selfishness? Do we judge and condemn? Should we accept, love unconditionally, and forgive? Do we serve only ourselves, or do we consider others as well? Is our attitude positive, or do we continue on because we consider something to be wrong? And, how do we choose to respond to the inevitable?
